TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR APPALACHIAN WIRELESS SHARE & SAVE REFERRAL PROGRAM
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Appalachian Wireless Referral Program (“Program”). By participating in the Program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not participate in the Program.
1. Definitions
- 1.1 “Good Standing” means that the account has been maintained in active status during the Referral Period with no past-due balance at the end of the Referral Period.
- 1.2 “Qualifying Service(s)” means an active postpaid consumer retail account associated with a handset. Advance Pay accounts and business accounts are not Qualifying Services. For the Referred Customer, simply transferring a line from an existing Appalachian Wireless account will not be a Qualifying Service. The Referred Customer must either obtain a new number or port a number from another carrier.
- 1.3 “Redeem” means the Referred Customer enters the Referral Code following the instructions in their MyAppwire account, and it is accepted. This starts the 90-day Referral Period.
- 1.4 “Referral Code” means a unique referral code provided to a Referrer from Appalachian Wireless. A Referral Code can be obtained by logging into your MyAppwire account and following the instructions provided. The Referral Code (i) must be generated before the Referred Customer purchases new Qualifying Service(s), and (ii) expires after 6 months.
- 1.5 “Referral Credit” means a $50.00 bill credit.
- 1.6 “Referral Period” means a 90-day period beginning when the Referred Customer successfully Redeems a Referral Code with a Qualifying Service.
- 1.7 “Referred Customer” means the new customer who has been referred to Appalachian Wireless.
- 1.8 “Referrer” means the current customer who is referring a new customer to Appalachian Wireless.
- 1.9 “Successful Referral” means that an eligible Referred Customer signs up for and activates a new account with at least one Qualifying Service after the Referral Code was generated and maintains the new account in Good Standing for the Referral Period.
* REFERRERS AND REFERRED CUSTOMERS ARE LIMITED TO ONLY ONE (1) REFERRAL CREDIT FOR EACH NEW ACCOUNT THAT QUALIFIES AS A SUCCESSFUL REFERRAL, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY LINES ARE ON THE ACCOUNT.
2. Eligibility
- 2.1 You may participate in the Program as: (i) the Referrer; or (ii) the Referred Customer. You must be at least 18 to participate.
- 2.2 An eligible Referrer must be the named account holder of a Qualifying Service.
- 2.3 An eligible Referred Customer must be a new customer who has not had an active account with Appalachian Wireless in the 12 months before the referral.
- 2.4 Account holders who receive the employee/telco partner employee discount are not eligible to participate as either a Referrer or a Referred Customer.
- 2.5 All services are subject to the additional Terms and Conditions governing wireless services and customers found at: https://www.appalachianwireless.com/terms.
3. How the Referral Program Works
- 3.1 The Referrer must provide a Referral Code to the prospective new customer(s). There will be a unique code for each person you refer. Only one Referral Code can be used by the Referred Customer.
- 3.2 For each Successful Referral, the Referrer will receive one Referral Credit if the accounts of both the Referrer and the Referred Customer are in Good Standing at the end of the Referral Period.
- 3.3 The Referred Customer will receive one Referral Credit if his/her account is in Good Standing at the end of the Referral Period.
- 3.4 The Referral Credit will typically be applied to the account within 45 days after the end of the Referral Period.
4. Other Conditions
- 4.1 Referrers may obtain a maximum of five (5) Referral Codes each calendar quarter. New calendar quarters begin on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
- 4.2 Terms of the Program may vary or change at any time at Appalachian Wireless’ sole discretion. In the event the Program is terminated or modified, rewards for all pending referrals will be honored according to the terms at the time of referral. You will be notified of any changes prior to them taking effect.
- 4.3 Appalachian Wireless reserves the right to investigate and remove rewards or suspend a customer’s participation in the Program for fraud, misuse, or other inappropriate or suspicious activity.
- 4.4 Appalachian Wireless will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Program.
5. Privacy and Data
- 5.1 By participating in the Program, you agree that Appalachian Wireless may collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- 5.2 You consent and agree that information about you and your account status may be shared with the Referrer who referred you and/or the Referred Customer you referred for the purpose of verifying whether there was a Successful Referral. All determinations made by Appalachian Wireless will be final and conclusive.
